Paul Sushruta Gomes (born 22 October 1975) is an Indian-origin American civil engineer, construction executive, entrepreneur, humanitarian, model, and community leader. He is widely recognized for leading large-scale infrastructure projects in the United States while dedicating himself to creating opportunities and safe environments for children with disabilities.
Originally from Goa, India, Paul was born into the respected Gomes family, the son of Late Dr. Jose Paul Gomes and Dr. Lucy Gomes. His family has a proud legacy associated with India's freedom movement, instilling in him values of service, perseverance, and leadership from an early age.
Paul completed his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Goa University, India, before beginning his engineering career in India. During this period, he successfully managed and executed major mobile telecommunications infrastructure projects for Reliance Industries, gaining valuable experience in large-scale project planning, construction, and execution.
Seeking greater opportunities, Paul later moved to the United States of America, where he further advanced his education by earning a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the prestigious University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles.
Throughout his distinguished engineering career in the United States, Paul has held significant leadership positions in public infrastructure development. He served as a Project Engineer for the County of Los Angeles, where he played an instrumental role in the construction of the Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital Replacement Campus, one of Southern California's most significant healthcare infrastructure projects.
He currently serves as a Senior Construction Manager with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), where he oversees Mega Capital Improvement Projects, helping modernize educational facilities and build world-class learning environments for future generations.
